Favorite "Growing Up Pampa" Memories:
As for most of us in band, those were my best memories - going to NY, LA Senior year. The boards!
I remember the time someone called the police when Harris Brinson was on top of the stadium when we were practicing, and they thought he was going to jump off.
Also, cruising the Drag, Caldwell's, Coney Island, and all the wonderful friends growing up.

Alta Lane's 100th Birthday. Taught 7th grade at Robert E. Lee.
Christmas 2007
Snowing at the cabin Easter 2007 - got 2 whole inches!
We have numerous Hummingbirds at our cabin on the river for 6 months - we spend many hours on the deck with them.
LOL! When we first started cleaning out the backyard after Mom died, we found a baby opposum. I put out an email thinking that maybe some homeschool kid would like to raise it. I was promptly informed that Lubbock has a great wildlife refuge, so I took it there. I now wish I had kept it and raised it!
You're my hero if you're in animal rescue. I've watched all those shows on Animal Planet a million times. I love all animals and want one of each. LOL!
My oldest daughter said to someone the other day: "Now, because of my daughter [5 years old], I understand my mother. She just gets excited to be in the presence of any animal!" LOL! That's my girl!
(When I bought a parrot, I made sure that they understand that when I die Bella gets him.)
Love the pics of the hummers! We put out a feeder, but it hasn't attracted a thing. Well, except for the sparrows that keep tilting it over and spilling the stuff! What am I doing wrong?
So wonderful to see the picture of Mrs. Lane. Do you remember the other seventh grade band homeroom teacher? Eleanor Webster. She was my aunt. She passed away many years ago.
Nancy; We wish that also. I am writing this mote from the Ramada Inn in Gatesville, TX. I am on a business trip with Gayle. Maybe it won't be too much longer that we are again residents of our home state - 37 years is way too long to have been gone. God bless you and yours. Love ya, little sister.
